Column Colour Registry entry

Specify the background colour of a field when displaying records.

Description

Specifying a background colour for a field is an effective way to draw attention to it. This can be achieved using the Column Colour Registry setting.

Usage

This Registry entry can be assigned to users and groups:

Value colour

where:

column

is the back-end name for a field to which the background colour is applied.

colour

can be either:

  • Blue
  • Green
  • Red
  • Brown
  • Yellow

    -OR-

  • An HTML colour code, e.g. #FFFF00
    Also known as a Hex triplet. See Wikipedia for details and a list of HTML colour codes.

Examples

This entry gives the Party Type: (Party Details) field a yellow background for all users:
